Nick Di Taranto
Nick has lived in Queen Village for two years and in Philadelphia for nearly five, though he grew up in the suburbs. What Nick love most about the neighborhood is its historic charm, its relaxed community feel, and the fact that he can walk to almost everything.
Nick believes in service and in collaborative, inclusive problem-solving that builds community. He has spent most of his career in grant program management, working across three federal agencies on air quality programs and K-12 and higher education initiatives. Most recently, Nick served as a grant director at the Community College of Philadelphia. Nick is now pursuing a master's in City and Regional Planning at Penn, with a concentration in sustainable infrastructure and transportation.
Nick is running for the board to help make Queen Village's streets safer and its parks and public spaces better places to gather. Nick would bring his planning training and grant experience to help identify funding, work with the city, and turn neighborhood priorities into results.
When he’s not studying, you'll find him rock climbing with friends, cooking, watching the Phillies, or spending time with his wife, their dog, Casey, and their cat, Noodle.

Kathryn Martinez
Kathryn Martinez has been a resident of Queen Village since 2010. You will likely find Kathryn out on her daily walk, puttering around with the planters in front of her house, or enjoying the neighborhood with her husband and middle school-aged daughter.
Kathryn is a project manager with a background in engineering and commercial real estate and hopes to bring these professional skills to QVNA to position our community for a bright future. She values clean and safe public spaces for all our neighbors and an environment where small businesses can thrive. -

Jack Pitcher
Jack Pitcher is a Pennsylvania native, born and raised in Pittsburgh, who has made Queen Village and Philadelphia his home. He graduated with from Temple University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in History and has built a career around a solid set of core skills: bringing people, budgets, and institutions together to deliver real results for the communities he serves.
Jack began his professional career in Philadelphia as a local non-profit manager. Here, he managed program budgets, curated content in alignment with the organization’s mission, wrote grants, and helped grow the organization's digital reach, all while serving as its closest point of contact for the global executive director. He still works closely with the executive director as an independent consultant.
He has continued his work in the consultant space at Rittenhouse Political Partners, where he applies that same rigor to community-driven, goal-oriented fundraising. His civic instincts run deeper still. Back in Pittsburgh, he worked with the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition (SHUC): an RCO serving a large urban neighborhood within the city. Jack still maintains a close relationship with the organization and has been effective in connecting SHUC with QVNA to move the needle on meaningful cross-state partnerships.
He’s ready to bring that same hands-on energy and experience, combined with his spirit of collaboration, to the QVNA board, because this neighborhood deserves members who show up, listen, and work toward pragmatic results every time.
