Your Participation in The Census is Vital

The 2020 Census counts everyone living in the United States. Your answers to 10 questions will shape the next 10 years of decisions that impact Queen Village, the City of Philadelphia, our state and the rest of our country.

Getting a complete and accurate census count is critically important. That’s why your response is required by law. If you do not respond, the U.S. Census Bureau will follow up in person to collect your response.

Census counts happen every 10 years. Its results inform decisions by elected officials about allocating hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding—for hospitals, fire departments, school lunch programs, plans for highways and other critical programs and services.

Since the Census results in a U.S. population count, it is also used to adjust or redraw electoral districts, based on where populations have increased or decreased. Read more at

The 2020 Census asks only 10 questions. There is no citizenship question. See for yourself at

The answers you provide are used only to produce statistics. By law, the Census Bureau is not permitted to publicly release your responses in any way that could identify you or anyone else in your home. Read more at

Each of us can powerfully and positively impact our next ten years with one single act:  participate in the census.
