Fairmount Park Recycling offers free compost, wood chips, firewood, and scrap lumber to all Philadelphians.

Bring a proof of Philadelphia residency (drivers license, utility bill or similar).

Where: Fairmount Park Recycling Center

Hours: 7:30am – 3:00pm, Monday through Saturday

From Queen Village:

Take 76 West to the Montgomery Drive exit.

Turn right at bottom of ramp, to the traffice light.

Turn left onto West River Drive.

Go 0.6 miles and take the left ramp to the Strawberry Mansion Bridge.

Turn left at top of ramp.

Follow one-way signs to the right until Chamounix Drive>

Go left past the tennis courts, to the next stop light (Ford Road).

Turn left on Ford Road.

Recycling center is 100 yards on right.
