John Fullerton

John Fullerton was a tailor who resided at 606-608 S. Front Street from approximately 1745 until his death in 1799.

Unconfirmed: John Fullerton may have been one of the founding members of the Hibernia Fire Company on February 20, 1752. The fire company was located at the corner of 2nd and Walnut.

His living will and testament dated 1/12/1784 devised the premises unto his grandchildren: Elizabeth Fullerton (now the wife of George Taylor), Esther Fullerton, John Fullerton, Joseph Fullerton and Mary Fullerton. Mary, the granddaughter, died in or about the year 1796 in her minority, intestate, and without issue. John Fullerton lately died intestate, unmarried, and without issue, his share becoming vested in his mother, Mary Fullerton.
Esther Rambo has since died intestate, her share being vested in her husband, who was conveyed the same 4/30/1799 unto George Taylor. Upon the decease of Mary Fullerton, the granddaughter; John Fullerton and Esther Rambo the remainder of their shares became vested in their surviving brother and sister, Joseph Fullerton and Elizabeth Taylor.
