Sculptures and Statues in Queen Village
As I walking around the neighborhood this weekend, I noticed that Queen Village is home to many pieces of public artwork. Very specifically, there are a number of sculptures and statues that are installed in front of buildings, parks and other public places. While I had seen these pieces before, I hadn’t quite appreciated the variety of these works until I photographed them. There are pieces made of stone, metal, and glass and some are free-standing while others are attached to walls or are even site-specific. I only had time to photograph a few of these works; there are many more to be seen in Queen Village. Four of these photographs are featured on the header of this website.
Queen Village is home to a number of sculptures and artworks that grace the sides of buildings or are housed in public spaces.
