Many historically certified buildings have been restored and rehabilitated  in Queen Village.  One good example is Clymer Court, located on Front Street near Catharine.  These dwellings have been converted into rental housing consisting of thirteen single townhouses and one three family unit. The red brick exteriors, working shutters on the first two floors, and the dormer windows are a charming contrast to the modern interiors equipped with dishwasher and garbage disposal as well as central air-conditioning.

The earliest structure dates from before 1744, and the court itself is named for the eighteenth century Philadelphia merchant George Clymer who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The rentals are designed for middle income families and the Court itself represents another attractive step in the renaissance of the Queen Village area.
