Fleisher is a source of inspiration, creativity and community. Every year, more than 16,000 people experience the transformative power of art by participating in studio classes, exhibitions, and community-based programming. Founded in 1898, Fleisher Art Memorial is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the vision of its founder, Samuel S. Fleisher, who believed that art is one of society’s greatest assets and equalizers, and from the doorway of his Graphic Sketch Club, “invited the world to come and learn art.”

The Nebinger School community encompasses the flourishing Center City neighborhoods of Bella Vista and Queen Village.  Nebinger offers small class sizes in a rigorous learning environment. In addition to an exceptional technology/computer science program, the school offers Mandarin Chinese language instruction to all students and instructional music programs for strings and brass.

Settlement Music School is the largest community school of the arts in the United States. With six locations in South, West and Northeast Philadelphia, Germantown, Willow Grove and Camden, New Jersey, the School provides 10,000 weekly services of individual lessons, classes and activities in music, dance and visual arts to children and adults without regard to age, race or financial circumstances, and awards more than $2 million annually in financial aid and scholarships. Settlement is dedicated to its mission of providing children and adults with the highest quality individual and group instruction and activity in music, dance and the related arts. Settlement provides a wide range of programs for preschool, school age children, adults and seniors.

Located at 5th & Fitzwater Streets, Meredith Elementary School is one of the city’s finest public schools, teaching children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. With an enrollment of 450 students, the Meredith School staff strives to help every child achieve at the proficient or advanced level in all academic areas. Students are well grounded in the core concepts of literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, computer science, health and physical education. Our expanded curriculum includes appreciation of and instruction in vocal and instrumental music, art, drama and dance. Leadership skills, development of a positive self image and problem solving skills are integrated across the curriculum.  Meredith has a computer lab and air-conditioned classrooms. Renovations and improvements have been made to the library, lunchroom and bathrooms.  The school consistently rates highly in standardized testing.
