The Friends of the Shot Tower is a local neighborhood organization that works to provide outdoor activities and improvements to support families and friends within Queen Village and its surrounding communities. This includes working to keep an attractive and green environment, applying for grants to improve the facility, and planning events and activities in the Shot Tower Playground. Yearly activities include seasonal gardening of the potted perennials in the tot-lot and spray pool areas, park cleanups in May and November, Movie Nights, an Easter Egg Hunt, and an October Festival.
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm, usually at the Phliladelphia Java located at Christian and 2nd Sts., but we are an efficient bunch and often cancel meetings unless they are absolutely necessary. So, if you are interested in joining, and we hope you are, please contact us through Facebook (Shot Tower Playground) or directly thorugh firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you in the communication loop about our meetings and activities.
