New York City by Bus or Train Hankering for a Broadway
Show? You needn’t choose between Amtrak’s high fares and traffic,
tolls and Manhattan parking! Inexpensive Greyhound/Peter Pan
non-stop buses leave the 10th & Filbert bus terminal hourly for 42nd
St. & 8th Ave., Manhattan. About 2 hrs. Get discounted tickets
online at
www.greyhound.com.
Or take SEPTA & NJT trains. SEPTA’s hourly R7 Trenton local
connects with NJT’s Northeast Corridor trains at Trenton. Fares vary
by time of day and type of fare, but are much lower than Amtrak’s.
NYC station (“Penn Station”) is at 33rd St. & 7th--8th Aves. About 2
hrs., 40 min.
Cheapest of all is New Century Travel (better known as “the
Chinese Bus”) from 55-57 N. 11th. These Greyhound-style buses
operate hourly to Chinatown (88 E. Broadway) in NYC and are really
cheap! About 2 hours. |
