Village Transit Guide 1. SEPTA in Queen Village
SEPTA, the region’s transit provider, can get you where you want to
go. SEPTA serves Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware
counties with buses, trolleys, rapid transit, and commuter trains
(”Regional Rail”).
SEPTA can take you from Queen Village to the airport,
Amtrak’s 30th Street Station and nearly every metro Philly shopping
center, major employer, museum, school, university, park, and
historic site.SEPTA has five bus routes serving Queen Village. To
go to Center City, use buses on 3rd St. or 7th St. (returning on 4th
and 8th respectively). You can also use the Columbus Blvd. bus,
though service is less frequent and Columbus has poor interface with
Center City streets.
To go westward, a bus on Lombard serves University City, returning on
South St. At the opposite end of Queen Village, a Washington Ave.
bus runs to West Philly and, eastbound, to Pier 70 (Wal-Mart, Home
Depot, SuperFresh, etc.) via Columbus Blvd. You can reach Center City
via either route by transferring to the Broad St. Subway (BSL). |
